LOS ANGELES, Oct 22, (Agencies): Priyanka Chopra Jonas is taking a moment to reflect on her role as a mother. The 41-year-old actress opens up about the intricate journey of motherhood and the myriad of emotions it entails.
When asked about the frequency of feeling overwhelmed as a mother, Chopra Jonas, who shares her 21-month-old daughter, Malti Marie, with her husband Nick Jonas, candidly admits, “I think every day.”
She goes on to express, “I believe that when you tuck them into bed, it can be incredibly overwhelming because, on a daily basis, you fret over the potential mistakes you might make.” She further adds, “But you have to keep yourself in check, and I do that with the support of my family.”
Chopra Jonas finds solace in her daughter’s smile, remarking, “I see her smile, and I think, ‘Okay, okay, I must be doing something right so far.’ It’s the most remarkable thing I’ve ever done, but it’s undeniably nerve-wracking.”
Chopra Jonas and her husband, Nick Jonas, welcomed their first child together through surrogacy on January 15, 2022. Their daughter spent her initial 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), finally coming home just in time for Mother’s Day that year.
