PS5 UK restock: GAME PlayStation 5 stock update – Argos and Amazon latest

0

UPDATE: A new report suggests that GAME will be hosting a new PS5 restock during November 2021 but that it won’t be happening this week.

According to PS5 Stock UK Alert on Twitter, GAME will have a fresh shipment of PS5 stock to offer console hunters between November 9 and November 11.

Further news on an exact date is expected to be shared closer to the time.

ORIGINAL: Gamers are scrabbling to find fresh PlayStation stock before the year ends and another cycle begins in the New Year. And the good news is that the first PS5 UK restock during November has been reported, and it won’t be last announced over the coming weeks.

While PlayStation 5 stock is tough to get, there will still be plenty of chances before the end of the year. Sony is working hard to provide as many consoles as it can across the world, although Europe and North America remain vital markets.

Most of the biggest UK retailers are expected to offer restocks during November, including Argos, GAME, Currys and Amazon. But for now, we only know of one that is scheduled to happen later this month from John Lewis.

The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.

They confirmed during the weekend that John Lewis would be offering a shipment of next-gen consoles during November, although not this week.

The restock isn’t predicted to happen for a few weeks, the good news being that more retailers are expected to be added to the list over the coming days.

The message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “John Lewis expects to receive a small PS5 Disc Edition shipment on the 22nd of November, indicating a possible restock approximately near 25th-26th November.”

While that might sound like a long time away, there will be other restocks peppered throughout the month.

Most major retailers offer at least two shipments each month, with the list including GAME, Currys and Argos.

Amazon is less predictable but even there expected to share a new PlayStation 5 shipment before the end of December.

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. There are no new dates for when the next PS5 restock will happen.

CURRYS: Currys does not host purely digital restock events and there has been no indication when they might offer more consoles online. The retailer chooses to sell the PlayStation 5 via its brick and mortar stores via a ticketing system. Those interested must sign up on the Currys PS5 page to have the chance of being selected, which will then be followed by waiting until the next shipment of consoles arrives.
