Paris Saint-Germain have set a huge price for Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid as soon as possible and is destined to leave PSG ahead of the new campaign.
But the French champions are trying to convince Mbappe to wait a full season and head there on a free transfer next summer instead.
That’s because PSG have received and accepted a £259m offer from Saudi team Al-Hilal.
Mbappe, though, is believed to have rejected their approach and does not want to join the Saudi Pro League.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, PSG have now told Real Madrid they must pay around €250m (£214m) if they wish to land the France international striker now.
They report that Real Madrid are not willing to pay that much and are trying to negotiate a lower fee with the Parisians.
Mbappe has less than a year left on his PSG contract and it is thought that he is willing to see it out and head to Madrid next summer if a deal cannot be agreed.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the PSG superstar but Mbappe reportedly has his heart set on Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old is considered by many to be the best striker in world football and has registered a whopping 212 goals and 98 assists across 260 games for PSG.
