Four
matches
will
be
played
in
the
playoff
stages
–
Qualifier,
Eliminator
1,
Eliminator
2
and
then
the
all
important
final.
The
first
and
second
placed
teams
will
play
the
Qualifier
which
gives
them
a
second
shot
at
making
the
final
even
if
they
lose
as
they
will
play
the
winner
of
the
Eliminator
1
in
Eliminator
2.
The
Eliminator
1
will
see
the
third
place
team
face
the
fourth
placed
team.
The
PSL
2023
is
a
6-team
tournament
in
which
each
team
will
play
the
remaining
five
teams
in
double
round-robin
matches
to
decide
who
progress
to
the
playoff
stages.
A
team
will
play
a
total
of
ten
matches
in
the
league
stage
with
the
Net
Run
Rate
(NRR)
also
playing
a
crucial
role
in
deciding
the
final
four
if
teams
are
level
on
points.
As
of
March
7,
Lahore
Qalandars
(12
points
from
7
matches),
and
Islamabad
United
(10
points
from
8
matches)
have
qualified
for
the
playoffs,
but
are
yet
to
finalize
their
spots
in
the
top
four.
Multan
Sultans
(8
points
from
8
matches)
and
Peshawar
Zalmi
(8
points
from
7
matches)
are
the
teams
well-placed
to
finish
in
the
top
four,
while
Quetta
Gladiators
(4
points
from
8
matches)
also
stand
a
chance
of
clinching
a
spot.
Meanwhile,
Karachi
Kings,
who
have
registered
4
points
from
9
matches,
seem
to
be
the
only
team
out
of
contention
from
making
the
playoff
spots.
