Education department on Friday initiated an enquiry after Congress MLA from Bholath, Sukhpal Singh Khaira claimed to have exposed AAP MLA from Batala Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi “manipulating” 10+2 examination conducted by Punjab School Education Board.
Khaira did a Facebook live on Friday outside the examination centre at SMG Government Senior Secondary School at Baba Bakala in Amritsar district, with a list of candidates. On the list, one of the candidates name is Amansher Singh son of Manohar Singh. Batala MLA’s father is also Manohar Singh. Kalsi’s wife also appeared in this examination at this centre, whose name is there on the same list.
Khaira alleged that some other person is “appearing in the examination for Batala MLA”. He said he has called a flying squad from Chandigarh to check this practice.
Kalsi, while giving clarification in a Facebook live, refuted all the charges made by Khaira.
Amritsar district education officer (Secondary) Jugraj Singh said, “We have started an enquiry to probe the matter. We are getting details from the examination superintendent”.
