Qatar World Cup chiefs face Tyson Fury row ahead of England vs Senegal

Tyson Fury is intending to fly out to Qatar to watch England play at the World Cup and get “messy” with fans despite the alcohol ban in the host nation’s stadiums. Alcohol was set to be served “in select areas within stadiums”, but a FIFA rule change two days before the tournament meant that the Muslim country was able to enforce the ban.

The Gypsy King has always gotten behind his country when it comes to major tournaments. During the 2016 Euros, Fury was pictured drinking with fans under the beating French sun.

The Mancunian bought 200 Jagerbombs for fans in a pub and marched to the stadium with them before watching the game.  And providing England overcome Senegal in their round-of-16 tie on Saturday night, Fury intends to fly out to the Middle East and do the same again.

“I’m 100 per cent going to get messy with the fans. I’m known for that,” Fury told The Sun when asked if he intends to fly out to the Middle East to follow the Three Lions. Fury then dared World Cup chiefs to stop him and suggested he would try and sneak booze into the stadium.

Fury takes on Derek Chisora tonight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he defends his WBC heavyweight title. The pair have fought each other twice previously with Fury winning on both occasions back in 2011 and 2014.

In their last outing, Fury retired Chisora on his stool at the end of the tenth round and is hoping to go one better with a highlight-reel knockout this evening. A statement victory is especially important given that Oleksandr Usyk is expected to be ringside for the fight.

Fury and Usyk are currently in negotiations to stage the first undisputed heavyweight unification clash of the four-belt era for either February or March providing everything goes plan in London.
