Queen Camilla wears Anna Valentine jumpsuit for Coronation concert

Queen Camilla arrived into the royal box alongside King Charles III wearing a bright blue jumpsuit. Later on in the evening, she added a matching cape to keep herself warm.

Camilla’s jumpsuit featured three-quarter length sleeves which had a satin cuff.

It had a zip from the collar down the middle and featured a satin band, which the monarch chose to have half zipped to showcase some of her jewellery.

Her cape was a simple blue shawl with tassels on the edge which she draped over her shoulders.

Blue is said to be Camilla’s royal colour rather than a plethora of bright colours like the late Queen Elizabeth II used to champion.

Lee Chambers told Femail that Camilla’s decision to wear royal and navy blue outfits following the announcement of her being Queen not Queen Consort might uggest she is “calm and composed”.

He added: “Blue carries a historical symbolism of nobility and status, and this still makes it a strong royal statement colour to this day.

“In addition, blue conveys that the wearer has a calm, reassured confidence and its associations with trustworthiness and loyalty are qualities that Queen Camilla will be wanting to send as a message during this time.”

Lee explained further: “It is likely to suggest that the wearer is feeling reflective and thoughtful, but also composed and grounded, ready for a significant event.”

The Queen has most notably worn blue for all the big events in her life as Queen so far.

The Commonwealth Day Service in March, the Easter Day service in Windsor and her royal Coronation portrait alongside King Charles to name a few.

There is one colour Camilla will never be seen wearing, and that’s mauve or lilac.

When on a photoshoot for Vogue, the royal was handed a mauve colour dress and she refused to wear it.

She apparently detests the colour, and is said to refer to it as “menopausal mauve”.
