Queen Camilla stepped out wearing a new Fiona Clare Couture dress yesterday and it bore great resemblance to the dress Kate, Princess of Wales wore for the polo in 2022.
To mark her first appearance at Wimbledon, Camilla’s dress was white, with three-quarter sleeves, in her signature A-line silhouette.
It was collarless with a small round neckline and had a V-opening with an invisible zip.
Both on the front and back, there was black piping that ran the whole length of the dress, falling into a ruffle skirt.
It is incredibly similar to Kate’s white Emilia Wickstead dress that she wore for Prince William’s charity polo match in 2022.
The Princess’s dress was the Denvella belted crepe midi dress and was priced at £1,345.
It is a sleeveless “fit and flare cloqué dress” with contrasting piping accents across the front and back.
The belt is detachable and Kate chose not to wear hers, so the piping design wasn’t broken up.
While some liked Camilla’s dress choice, others felt she could mix up her silhouette choice.
One commented on Instagram: “This is nice twist on her standard dress. I like the stripes and the skirt looks nice and swishy.”
Another wrote: “The piping really makes the dress stand out.”
Someone else, however, said: “She looks soooo much better with separates. She has a whole lot of this type of dress. Sick of it.
A fourth commented: “Camilla has a nice figure, she could try a new dress style, because this is a version of the same thing she has been wearing since forever. Anyway, she looks good. She really can pull off white.”
One royal fan claimed Camilla is the “same as Catherine”, always wearing the “same dress [in a] different colour”.
