Rachel Kolisi confirms husband Siya has knee op

Rachel Kolisi has given a massive Springbok update surrounding the injury to captain Siya Kolisi’s knee.

“JUST IN: Rachel Kolisi, wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, confirms that he will NOT be receiving his National Order of Ikhamanga in person today. She says he went for surgery on his knee injury today…” wrote journalist Percivale Young on Twitter.

Kolisi to make timely comeback?

Kolisi, who limped off in his farewell appearance at the Shark Tank against Munster, now appears on track to lead the Springboks in their World Cup title defence in France.

“Siya has been consulting specialists all week and the consensus is that if he has the surgery now he is likely to be available for the World Cup,” a reliable source told IOL.

Reports suggest that Siya Kolisi suffered an apparent partial tear to his anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) as well as injuring his meniscus on both sides of the injured knee.

Kolisi reportedly had three opinions on how to deal with the injured knee.

He is on a tight timeline to feature at the World Cup in France.
