Actually within the London airport, you reach the terminal by a covered walkway in five minutes.

There is on site parking for anyone driving and wanting to leave their car.

It’s modern and swish with an open-plan lobby, lounge and bar and a 40ft wine tower as the centerpiece.

There are lots of seating areas and we were greeted by efficient, smiling, friendly staff.

There is a health club with pool, gym and spa at the hotel that making it worth visiting for longer than just a few hours pre or post-flight.

If you have a few hours to spare, catch the Stansted Express into central London.
