This summer may not be completely abysmal after all, as Rae Sremmurd has returned with a new song and video that’s certain to help usher in the vibes necessary for a worthwhile season.

Wednesday, the duo of Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee dropped off “Denial,” complete with a largely beach-set video directed by Bryan Barber. Credited as producers are Bizness Boi, Fortune, Fridayy, and Kofo.

Teased again amid the “Denial” rollout was the impending release of SREMM4LIFE, which will mark Sremmurd’s fourth studio album and first since 2018’s triple-sized SR3MM. The latest entry in the Sremmurd canon has been the subject of a number of social media-shared teases in recent days, most notably in the form of imagery showing the number 4 fittingly engulfed in flames.

The duo recently showed up on the red carpet for the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, further signaling that their next chapter was indeed imminent.

The coming months will also see Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee on the bill for a number of notable festivals, including Pharrell’s Something in the Water. The festival is set for June 17-19 on Independence Ave in Washington D.C. and will also feature Lil Uzi vert, Tyler, the Creator, Mariah the Scientist, Pusha-T, Usher, Roddy Ricch, Syd, and more.
