There are so many amazing, over-the-top resorts in the world, that each property has to raise the bar in order to stay competitive and attract new travelers. Here’s how one resort manages to stand out.
More Than a Pretty View
The property is known for amenities.
French Polynesia has plenty of super deluxe properties and the Conrad Bora Bora Nui is no exception. Located in a private cove on Motu To’opua, a small islet off the coast of Bora Bora, travelers have access to Vaitape along with a private stretch of white sand beach. But there’s more than just over-water-bungalows, beautiful beaches and pristine waters attracting travelers here.
Golf
The property is the first resort in the South Pacific that has Golf In technology.
The Conrad Bora Bora Nui is the first resort in French Polynesia to offer Golf In advanced technology simulator. The new golf simulator boasts a 194” screen with a commercial grade mat, swing analyzer, TruTrack technology, 21” touch screen, and over 100 global courses to choose from. For the active traveler, the simulator also offers additional activities including baseball, bowling, and kids’ games. Travelers can reserve on an hourly basis.
Helipad
The floating helipad
The property is the first in French Polynesia to offer a floating helipad for shared and private air tours. In addition to the convenience and added experience the helipad provides for resort guests; it will also be utilized as a departure location for private air tours.
Ahi Ma’a
Conrad Bora Bora Nui is the only resort offering the Ahi ma’a (underground oven made of coconut leaves and stones) which is used in their traditional cultural dining experience. Diners can go deep into the local culture through food and prayer in this unique culinary experience.
Elevated Cuisine
Chef Jean-Luc L’Hourre, the new Executive Chef overseeing all food and beverage offerings, has held three Michelin Stars during his career. He was also elected Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) — a craftsmen competition held in France every four years. Chef L’Hourre is the first and only MOF in French Polynesia.
Island Host Experience
The Island Host can arrange private dinners and cocktails.
While excellent service is expected in Bora Bora, the Conrad Bora Bora Nui takes it a step further with their Island Host program. All resort guests are assigned a dedicated Island Host that will take care of any task needed—packing and unpacking, making meal reservations, setting up romantic activities—for the duration of the stay.
Spa and Stargazing
The spa sits on top of a hill offering 360 views.
Conrad Bora Bora Nui is the only resort that sits atop a hill—the spa is located at the top of this elevation (the only hill-top spa in the Bora Bora) in the middle of the lava rocks and tropical vegetation, resulting in unrivaled panoramic views. The outdoor treatment rooms are especially popular. The property also recently launched a stargazing experience with a highly powerful telescope, and are the only resort equipped with that in Bora Bora. The property also boasts the largest Infinity pool in Bora Bora (added bonus: there’s a swim-up bar).
Unique Scent
Conrad Bora Bora Nui has partnered with the Polynesian Perfumeria that is now sold globally in high-end retailers, to unveil an exclusive signature scent – Le Parfum Conrad by Coqui Coqui available only at the resort.
