Manchester United threw away a two-goal lead on Saturday night, to draw 2-2 against Aston Villa.
A draw will feel like a defeat for United’s players after being two goals to the good at Villa Park, having taken the lead thanks to a Bruno Fernandes brace.
Former captain Roy Keane had his say after the final whistle and singled out one player in particular who he felt had a poor game, while admitting the Red Devils are lacking options up front.
And speaking to the media afterwards, Rangnick revealed that Anthony Martial refused to be a part of the squad for the game at Villa Park.

Keane speaks out
Edinson Cavani was unable to help Manchester United see off Aston Villa on Saturday night.
With Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo both missing due to injury, the veteran striker was tasked with leading the line flanked by youngsters Mason Greenwood and Anthony Elanga.
Cavani wasn’t on the scoresheet despite playing the full game and former United captain Roy Keane picked out his performance.
“I thought Cavani was poor. I’m surprised they left him on for the whole game,” the Irishman told Sky Sports.

Rangnick’s Martial remarks
With options short up front, United could have used Anthony Martial on Saturday night. But the French striker was nowhere to be seen, having decided he didn’t want to be part of the matchday squad.
Speaking after the game, Rangnick revealed that the former Monaco striker did not want to play as he seeks a move away from the club.
“He didn’t want to be in the squad,” Rangnick said simply. “He would have been in the squad normally, but he didn’t want to. That is the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday.”

Merson picks next United boss
Rangnick was handed a six-month deal to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the end of November but has struggled to turn United’s fortunes around.
United will need a next-to perfect second-half of the season to finish inside the top four of the Premier League if they want to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
It is unlikely Rangnick is asked to continue the job done in the United dugout and pundit Paul Merson has chosen a Premier League manager to replace the German at the end of the season.
“If I was Man United, I’d be monitoring him. I’d think, ‘why not go for him?'” Merson told Sky Sports .”
