Ram Charan and wife Upasana deny claims of welcoming their baby in the USA

Last year, Ram Charan and wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela shared the big news of their pregnancy with the world. The couple is expecting their first child together. Ram Charan is currently in the United States for the ongoing award season where RRR is nominated. His presence gave rise to speculations that the couple will have their kid in the states only. However, Upasana has now put those rumours to rest.

Ram Charan and Upasana to have their first child in India

Upasana is an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist and wife of actor Ram Charan. The couple is all set to welcome their first baby soon, and she confirmed that it will be in India. Ram and Upasana had announced their first pregnancy back in December 2022. Upasana is also the Vice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals. She is excited to have her child delivered in her home country. It will happen amidst the hospital staff she has known for years.

Speculations had risen after Ram Charan’s appearance on popular news show Good Morning America. They led to rumors that the couple might be planning to welcome their firstborn in the USA. However, Upasana took to Twitter to clarify that their delivery will be taking place in India.

Expressing her enthusiasm for this new phase in her life, Upasana took to Twitter. She shared, “I am thrilled to have our first baby delivered in our home country – India, surrounded by a world class medical OB/GYN team at The Apollo Hospitals, including Dr Sumana Manohar, Dr Rooma Sinha and now Dr Jennifer Ashton from the Good Morning America Show. This journey holds many exciting experiences for us and we look forward to this new phase in our lives with great anticipation.”

At Apollo hospitals, the OB/GYN team will consist of Dr Sumana Manohar and Dr Rooma Sinha. Also, Dr Jennifer Ashton, a Board-certified Ob-Gyn, author and TV medical correspondent from the USA will also be part of the team to deliver the couple’s baby.

Ram is currently in the states representing the team of RRR which is heavily nominated in the international award season. The film recently garnered 5 awards at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards 2023. Before that, it won at the Golden Globes as well for the song Naatu Naatu. The track is also nominated at the Oscars 2023, which will take place in March.
