Ram Charan and Upasana are one of the most loved couples in the South Indian film industry. Ram Charan and Upasana are set to welcome their first child after 10 years of marriage. In a recent interview, Upasana shared her excitement of becoming a mother soon and embracing parenthood with husband Ram Charan.
Upasana opens up on late pregnancy
Upasana stated that despite pressure from society, Ram Charan and she are proud that they decided to have a baby when they wanted to. Speaking with Humans of Bombay, soon-to-be mother Upasana said, “I am very, very excited and also very proud that I chose to become a mother when we wanted to, not when society wanted to. So, ten years after our marriage, we have taken a call to have a kid now and I think it’s the best time because both of us are booming, both of us are financially secure and we can take care of our kids by ourselves.”
Upasana added that the decision to have a baby was mutual. She added, “It was our mutual decision. As a couple, we didn’t let pressure hit us, whether it is from the society outside, our family or outsiders. Which says a lot about our relationship and how we are going to bring up our child as well.”

The good news of Ram Charan and Upasana’s pregnancy was shared by their parents. The statement read, “With the blessings of Shri Hanuman Ji. We are delighted to share that Upasana & Ram Charan are expecting their first child. With love & gratitude Surekha & Chiranjeevi Konidela, Shobana & Anil Kamineni.”
Ram and Upasana enjoyed their babymoon in the US. The actor had shared a video giving a glimpse of their babymoon along with the caption, “Amidst all the hustle, Mr.C’s time out for “us” Sneak Peek #babymoon.”
Ram Charan announces Game Changer
On the other hand, last month, Ram Charan and RRR team made India proud as the song Naatu Naatu from RRR became the first Indian song to win an Oscar. Naatu Naatu song won the Best Original Song at the Oscars 2023. Ram Charan will be next seen in Game Changer with Kiara Advani.
