Ranbir Kapoor talks to Haradhan Bandopadhyay in this unseen throwback pic from Barfi sets shared by Ileana D’Cruz

Actor Ileana D’Cruz shared a decade-old picture on her Instagram Stories, as she recalled what she was doing then, during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with her fans. The photo featured actor Ranbir Kapoor and late actor Haradhan Bandopadhyay on the sets of their film Barfi. On Monday, when a fan asked Ileana, “Just 10 years back. Today. What were you doing?” Replying to this, she shared a photo from the sets of her 2012 film Barfi and wrote, “I was taking this picture on set.” In the picture, Ranbir is seen sitting with his hand on his chin as he smiled and listened to the veteran actor. Haradhan died in 2013, a year after the release of the film due to pneumonia.

Barfi was released in 2012. The film starred Ranbir, Ileana and Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. It was directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures. At the 58th Filmfare Awards, Barfi bagged thirteen nominations. That year, the film won the award for the best film, Ranbir Kapoor for the best actor and Ileana for the best female debut.

Ileana was recently seen in a song named Ooo Ooo, which is composed and sung by Qaran. The lyrics is by Qaran and Siddhesh Patole. She will next be seen in Unfair and Lovely opposite actor Randeep Hooda. The film will tell the story of a woman’s fight against colourism. Ileana will also be seen in a Shrisha Guha Thakurta directorial which also stars Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi.

Ranbir is currently promoting his upcoming film Brahmastra. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. The film is slated to release on September 9, 2022. He also has Shamshera in the pipeline. The Karan Malhotra directorial will also star Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. Fans will also see Ranbir in Animal.
