Despite having only lost one game as Manchester United interim boss, Ralf Rangnick is dealing with a major dressing room crisis with morale at rock bottom.
Monday night’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves has raised questions about the German’s pedigree and seen a number of players question their future at the club as they seek first-team football, according to numerous reports.
With the January transfer window open and disgruntled players seeking a move out of Old Trafford, Rangnick has issued a rally cry midway through the season to stop the train from derailing off the tracks.
One person who will certainly be leaving the club is Ed Woodward, as he looks back at the Premier League star who he was unable to bring to Manchester.

Rangnick demands professionalism
Having admitted that he has a team full of unhappy players, Ralf Rangnick called on his stat-studded squad to stick together and remain professional.
With rumours surfacing that around 11 players are unhappy at Old Trafford, the German used his pre- FA Cup third round press conference to send a defiant message to those thinking about downing tools.
Rangnick revealed that he speaks to players every few weeks why they haven’t been in the team and that what the team are going through happens at every club around Europe.
“Those players are unhappy about the situation, it’s obvious, clear. I tend to explain to players every two or three weeks why they are not playing and that’s an issue in our team and other clubs,” Rangnick said.

Woodward’s one regret
Though football is rarely a sport of what ifs, out-going United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will leave the club at the start of February having wandered what could have been had he lured Harry Kane to Manchester.
Under Woodward’s tenure, United have tried multiple times to bring a world-class striker to the club and though Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahamivic have graced the Old Trafford turf in recent years, as has Cristiano Ronaldo, there’s a feeling of failure when it comes to the Tottenham striker.
There’s been times since Woodward took over from David Gill in 2013 when a move for Kane could have materialised but United were always lurching from one transfer mistake to another.

United’s rich history of producing home-grown talents is well-known and the current crop of stars have a number of players with bright futures.
While many will be thrust into first-team action straight from the academy, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay to name a few, others will learn their trade out on loan before returning to Old Trafford polished players.
Ethan Laird and Axel Tuanzebe are just two players who have been out on loan this season, at Swansea and Aston Villa. But the club have decided to recall them and send them elsewhere.
Laird has signed for Bournemouth and Tuanzebe will spend the second-half of the season in Italy with Napoli.
It’s a tactic the club wish to employ this season and another young player could be leaving one team for another in the near future.
