Rumours are the part and parcel of a celebrities life and it can be quite out of bounds at times as well. Raveena Tandon, who recently made her OTT debut with the Netflix series, recalled that she was once linked to her own brother. Raveena said that gossips made her cry herself to sleep as she would dread what would be printed about her. Tandon said that her ‘credibility’ was being ripped to shreds.
Raveena told Film Companion, “I remember many, many sleepless nights that I would cry myself to sleep and I would dread every month, another yellow, gossipy tabloid completely ripping me, my credibility, my reputation, my parents into shreds and I would wonder, ‘What is it all about?’.”
Raveena Tandon said that she would treat her co-stars as friends, but the media did not understand or accept that. She further revealed that celebrities were ‘at the mercy of’ journalists back then.
The Aranyak actress added, “They linked me with my own brother and Stardust wrote about that as well. ‘There is a handsome, fair boy who comes to drop Raveena Tandon, we have discovered Raveena Tandon’s boyfriend’. We have lived through that. Who would clarify and how much would you? You were at the mercy of those journalists and editors. Even if you would say ‘hello?’, they would say, ‘yeah, okay, take it with a pinch of salt’.”
Meanwhile, talking about Aranyak, the series also starred Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Ashutosh Rana, Zakir Hussain, and Meghna Malik apart from Raveena and it received great response. Raveena will be seen next in KGF Chapter 2 as the Prime Minister of India.
