In the midst of another impressive campaign for the Rice, the midfielder produced more magic to help seal the Hammers’ place in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old scored his side’s second goal in the second leg against Lyon as they went on to secure a 4-1 win on aggregate.
Rice’s stellar performances have seen him consistently linked with moves to the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
But Parlour thinks he will stay beyond this summer, and go on to become a West Ham ‘legend’.
‘I’m sure there’s lots of clubs waiting to see if they can get Declan Rice,’ Parlour told talkSPORT.
‘But I think he will stay there for a few more years yet.
‘He really respects the club, given [him] opportunities to play first-team football.
‘Whatever happens in the future, he will be a West Ham legend. When he leaves, he will still get a standing ovation from West Ham fans because he shows the desire – exactly what you want from a young player.
‘You can see the passion, he wants to win every single game for West Ham. I’m hoping he stays for another year, because he will be bought sooner or later. West Ham fans or the club itself are realistic to know that he will go to a bigger club one day.’
In a warning to any interested parties, Hammers boss David Moyes has insisted Rice is worth more than £150million.
‘The first thing to say is that he is not for sale,’ said Moyes earlier this month.
‘But if you are interested, well, it will be north of that, because £100million was cheap last summer, and £150million just now would be minimum – but he is not for sale.’
