Late last year, Razer unveiled the Hammerhead HyperSpeed TWS buds, with two variants at that. It looks like the gaming peripheral brand saw fit to give it an upgrade, and a Pro moniker to go with it. So now, we have the Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed.
That being said though, the changes are pretty minor, and definitely not things that are visible from the outside. There’s no PlayStation version here either, so the only colour option is the standard black.
So what are the difference then? To start, the Bluetooth 5.2 on the base Hammerhead HyperSpeed has been bumped up to Bluetooth 5.3 with the Pro upgrade. There is also now a Do-Not-Disturb mode that you can toggle, so that notifications from connected devices are silenced. Then there’s the hybrid ANC tech, the intensity of which you can now adjust. This is done via a slider that can be found in the Razer Audio app. Beyond just the TWS buds themselves, the charging case of the Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed has also been given a slight upgrade. It now supports wireless charging, and works with any wireless charger that is Qi-compatible.
All that being said, there are some tradeoffs with these upgrades. Though this is mainly in the total battery life, which is now slightly lower than before. Each bud is still rated as being able to last 6.5 hours, but where the case of the Hammerhead HyperSpeed is noted to provide last up to 26 hours of additional charge, the Pro case has this shaved down to 24 hours.
Naturally, there’s the matter of the price as well. The Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed is priced in Malaysia at priced at RM999, where the base model had a RM749 price tag. It is already available for purchase via authorised resellers, as well as the brand’s official online store, linked below.
