BARNSTABLE – A Reading man is facing charges after he allegedly led Barnstable police on a chase that ended in a crash early Wednesday morning.

Police said a Barnstable officer tried to stop the black Audi Q7 on Route 132 because it was driving erratically. The alleged driver 48-year-old Kenneth Brickhouse of Reading, failed to stop, instead traveling down Route 6A before he left the road and rolled the vehicle, according to police. The scene was caught on a neighboring doorbell camera.

Brickhouse then allegedly ran from the scene of the crash.

After checking the car and determining it was empty, Barnstable Police Officer Michael Lima, pursued the suspect, arresting Brickhouse east of the scene.

Brickhouse was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for minor injuries. He will face several charges
