‘Real Housewife’ Heather Dubrow sells Newport Coast ‘chateau’ for $55 million

Reality TV couple Heather and Terry Dubrow have parted ways with their 22,000-square-foot Newport Coast home dubbed “Chateau Dubrow” in an off-market deal for $55 million, making it O.C.’s most expensive sale of the year.

An LLC, registered in California, conceals the buyer’s identity.

County documents show “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star and the “Botched” surgeon purchased the nearly three-quarter-acre property in July 2013 for $4.18 million and built the home.

“RHOC” documented the construction of the lavish spread, whose features include a doorbell to summon Champagne service, a temperature-controlled wine wall in the dining room, and an eat-in kitchen with two islands that opens to the family room.

Floor-to-ceiling glass doors extend the great room to the backyard terrace with a pool and spa.

Other highlights include a mirrored gym, a 21-seat movie theater, twin offices with hidden bathrooms and bars, and a 400-square-foot closet.

The couple shared their former home with their four children, which “RHOC” fans will recall were represented by birds in a sizeable etched window that became a point of contention.

“With two kids at college, we’ve been thinking about our next move,” Heather Dubrow told Entertainment Tonight, which first reported the sale on Oct. 21.

“Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” siblings Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman Realty represented the couple in the deal. Southern California News Group reached out to the Altman Brothers, but they declined to comment.

Before closing that deal, property records show the Dubrows paid $14 million for a two-bedroom, 5,254-square-foot penthouse in Century City. They were represented by “Selling Sunset” agent Heather Rae El Moussa of The Oppenheim Group, who posted the deal on Instagram.

E.T. reported that Season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” will feature the nearly five-month process of finding and negotiating the penthouse. In the same article, Heather Dubrow dropped hints about her future with the O.C. series.

“I think that as a New Yorker transplanted to L.A., dragged down to Orange County, I’m migrating home,” she told E.T. “Let’s see what happens there.”
