Bronny James, a four-star recruit in the 2023 class, is collecting a serious amount of buzz as he continues to approach his inevitable NBA career.

While there’s no question that James is a talented prospect, there’s also no question that he gets some benefit from being the eldest son of one of the greatest players the league has ever seen.

Some, including 247Sports scouting expert Adam Finkelstein, believe Bronny’s eventual “one-and-done lottery pick” status are a direct product of his father, LeBron James.

LeBron has made it very clear that he hopes to share an NBA court with his son, making Bronny an overwhelmingly attractive pick in the 2024 draft.

“Bronny James proved that he belonged at this week’s McDonald’s All-American Game…but it was again clear that the one-and-done lottery pick projections are only possible if his dad ties the end of his career directly to where his son is,” Finkelstein says.

Bronny is a solid talent, but he’ll need to continue to improve his game over the coming year if he wants to earn a lottery pick selection based on pure merit.

The highly-sought-after combo guard has college offers from Memphis, Ohio State and USC.
