  • Via a microsite, the company has revealed that the Redmi 12 5G will have its global launch in India on August 1st.
  • The website also confirms that the smartphone will come with a 50MP rear camera setup, 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.
  • According to the teaser, the upcoming Redmi 12 5G will “Join the 5G Revolution”.

Redmi 12 series: what we know so far

The Redmi 12 5G was spotted on Geekbench recently with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and 8GB RAM. Apart from this, we know that the phone has a Crystal Glass design and will be available in a Moonstone Silver colour option with rainbow hues. The device will also feature a 50MP primary camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery, according to the features listed on the official website.

Meanwhile, Redmi is also planning to launch the 4G version of the Redmi 12. This model has already been launched in Thailand with a 6.79-inch FHD+ display, MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, up to 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.

Redmi 12 5G India price leak

Recently the India price and availability details of the Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G were recently revealed. Both phones run on Android 13-based MIUI 14 and will be available on Amazon and through the company’s official website.

As far as the India price is concerned, the Redmi 12 5G is tipped to start from Rs 13,999, while the 4G model will begin from Rs 9,999. We will know the official prices in a just a few days. So stay tuned.
