Jane Wilson, a manager at Fantastic Cleaners also advised using lemons to clean microwaves.
She explained: “Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a microwave-safe bowl of water.
“Microwave the bowl for a few minutes until the water boils and the steam with citric acid loosens any stuck-on food. Then, use a cloth to wipe away any residue.”
Lemons can usually be found at the back of the fridge or in most local supermarkets.
