Former Villanova forward Cam Whitmore has yet to be picked in the 2023 NBA Draft and there’s a clear reason for it.
Per Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman, Whitmore’s medicals are concerning for NBA teams who may be interested in him.
“Cam Whitmore’s medicals creating all sorts of worrying. This has come back to haunt teams more often than not,” Wasserman tweeted.

Whitmore played only one season at Villanova but missed the first seven games of the season due to a nagging thumb injury. He ended up returning and played in 26 games, averaging 12.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
He then declared for the draft but started “struggling at times with his shooting and intensity” during workouts, per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.
Let’s see if a team bites on him toward the end of the first round.
The 2023 NBA Draft is currently being teleivsed by both ABC and ESPN.
