Former West Coast Eagles player Jack Redden and his wife Aymee have announced the arrival of their baby girl.
The couple’s happy news comes just days after their close friends Nic Naitanui and Brittany Bown announced the arrival of their son, born earlier this month.
Aymee took to Instagram on Friday afternoon to share a heartwarming video of the pair’s two other children meeting their little sister.
“My world. my whole entire heart. our family… welcome bebe girl, Elke May Redden ???? 19/10/22…brb crying,” the new mum wrote alongside the video.
In the clip, their children Isabel and Eddie can be seen interacting with the newborn as a slowed-down version of Sam Smith’s song Latch is played over the top of the video.
Big sister Isabel plants a kiss on her little sister’s head, as big brother Eddie comes in for a kiss on the cheek.
Dad Jack later joins his older children as he helps little Eddie hold his sister.
The video was met with a chorus of congratulations from their famous friends including Liv Cripps, Courtney Darling, Abbey Holmes, and Luke Shuey.
“’I’m not crying YOUR crying!!! Mumma Iz and the whole lot Can’t wait for a cuddle Elke girl ❤️❤️❤️” Lily Burke, Tom Cole’s partner wrote.
“Oh wow my heart ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ well done beautiful fam love you all!!!” Emmi Masten added.
Less than a week ago, the mum-to-be took to her social media to share a photo of her baby bump with the caption: “Thought I’d have a baby by now”.
Aymee announced the couple were expecting their third baby back in May with a simple baby bump mirror pic.
On September 30, Jack shocked Eagles’ fans when he announced his retirement from the game after 14 seasons with West Coast.
The 31-year-old said he felt like it was the right time, however, both personally and for the rebuilding Eagles for him to finish, creating room for the next generation.
“I am really content with the decision,” Redden said.
“I thought about it for a few weeks after the season and it just feels like it is the right time, both personally and for the club which is going through a rebuild.”
He had been expected to play next season.
