Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, the stars of the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series Citadel, attended a press conference in Mumbai, India on Monday, April 3. The series, which is being produced by the Russo Brothers, is set to be one of the biggest shows of the year and has been generating buzz ever since its announcement. During the press conference, Priyanka and Richard talked about their experiences working on the show and their excitement about the project.

It all happened when the host asked the Citadel stars to shed some light on working with David Weil, who is also the creator of another Amazon Prime Video Original series Hunter, and the creators of the upcoming global series. In response, Richard asserted, “What’s so brilliant about working with people on such a huge vision is that it allows you as an actor to focus on what you’re doing. Because you’re not trying to piece together a whole big picture, these multi-country spanning shows have these intricate storylines, you’re allowed to just focus on your job as an actor. So it gives you real freedom because they are such a huge large-scale vision.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka said, “They’re incredible. Working with Joe and Anthony, and the whole AGBO team, bringing in David, there was such a sense of collaboration that they had with us, they trusted the actors. They asked us questions about our characters and what we thought our characters would do. So there was this incredible trust and faith which we had in them because of that credibility.”
She further explained, “But they showed it to us as well. So when you walk off the set, it was never us and you think it was all of us together, creating the show. So we feel a sense of ownership and we feel a sense of belonging because it’s ours that we put in. They helped us and encouraged us to protect our characters. They encouraged us to talk about our characters, and I think that made it a really wonderful work experience.”
