Ronnie O’Sullivan has revealed he believes in a snooker God.
The 46-year-old potter, nicknamed The Rocket, has won more than £13million in prize money and is No1 in the world rankings. And he says it is all down to the ‘God of Snooker’.
“I’ve developed my own belief system based on the snooker gods,” he said.

“I know people will laugh at that but I genuinely believe there’s a snooker god out there who’s been looking after me. If I talk to anyone before I go to sleep it’s him.
“He’s the one who convinced me that there really was a way out of the darkness.”
O’Sullivan previously revealed how he battled booze and drug addiction and had a stint in rehab in 2000.

He said: “Snooker was all fags and booze when I was little. But most of today’s players look after themselves a bit more, but it all depends on how strong your game is.
“There have been times when I was boozing and smoking cannabis, and still winning titles.”
After winning the Hong Kong Masters earlier this month, O’Sullivan chose to spend time with his four-legged friends on his return to the UK.
He told Eurosport: “I’ve come home and had a nice week with the dogs, just chilling out.
“We had a dog, now we have got dogs. They are the best thing. They have restored my faith in life. They give you so much love.
“I just like spending all day at home with him. I’d rather spend all day with him rather than any other person on the planet. He wags his tail, is happy to see you. He’s the best.”
