Ross County have continued their summer transfer business with the addition of winger Owura Edwards.
The 21-year-old has agreed a season-long loan switch from Bristol City to the Staggies and has joined Malky Mackay’s squad at their training camp in Italy.
Edwards began his career at Newport County before making the move to Bristol, and has since gained first team experience on loan at Bath City, Grimsby Town, Exeter City and Colchester United.
County boss Mackay said the deal had been a long time in the making.
“Owura is a player that our recruitment department spent a significant amount of time tracking and during that process it was very clear that he is someone that would be a great addition to our group,” he told the club website.
“At 21, he has gone out and proven himself across the EFL levels, really learning about the rigours of men’s football and that is great credit to him.”
“Prior to us coming to Italy, Owura came up to Dingwall to meet with us and both parties are excited about his move to the Scottish Premiership and the part he can play for Ross County.”
Edwards is County’s fourth signing of the summer window, following Victor Loturi, Yan Dhanda and George Harmon in making the move to the Highland club.
