A bike that signifies Royal Enfield’s evolving design philosophy, Hunter 350 has emerged a bestseller right from its launch. It is currently the second best selling bike in the company portfolio. It has raced ahead of Meteor 350 and leads by a significant margin.

New Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has also emerged as a popular choice for customization projects. With its neo-retro profile and simple architecture, virtually limitless iterations can be created.

Two such customizations, Hunter Scrambler and Hunter Brat, have now been showcased by K-Speed, a leading Bangkok-based bike customization shop. K-Speed specializes in standalone customization projects and also has ready-to-ship custom parts for a wide range of popular bikes in the world.

In its Scrambler makeover, Hunter 350 gets a rugged, dominating profile. The knobby dual-purpose tyres immediately grab one’s attention and exude a sense of brute force and dominance.

These are functionally relevant as well, with capabilities to tame a wide variety of off-road terrains. Another feature that’s super slick is the custom-made engine cover and side panels. These have protruding ribs that work to enhance the bike’s rugged character.

To ensure adequate protection against flying debris, Hunter Scrambler gets a thick plated engine cowl. For engine cooling, four small sized holes have been machined into the engine cowl. There’s apparently an inner breathable layer that can take care of smaller sized debris. Another key addition is a crisp aftermarket exhaust, placed parallel to the seat.

Other key highlights of Hunter Scrambler include custom front fender in high-mounted position, tank top cover, bar-end micro mirrors and custom seat with quilted pattern and white lining. A number of stock components such as front and rear indicators have been completely removed. Rear tail has been shortened to achieve a compact profile.

Hunter Brat shares some of the custom parts with Scrambler version, but has an entirely different character. It is a true-blue road machine, with the most notable update being the large balloon tyres. Components like the headlight, bar-end micro mirrors, tank cover and custom engine cover and side panel covers are the same as Hunter Scrambler. Hunter Brat has also been stripped of its front and rear turn signals.

Customizations that ensure a unique profile for Hunter Brat include the low-set handlebar, a minimalistic looking saddle and curvy upswept aftermarket exhaust. Front suspension appears to have been tweaked to achieve a low riding stance.

Both Hunter Scrambler and Brat are likely to be focused largely on cosmetic enhancements. There are unlikely to be any tweaks to the engine to boost its performance. Aural experience could be unique, as both versions get a different aftermarket exhaust. Hunter is powered by a 350cc motor that churns out 20.2 bhp of max power and 27 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
