Rune Factory 5 is coming to PC in July

Rune Factory 5 was previously only available on Nintendo Switch, but the JRPG will soon release on PC. Come July 13, the latest entry in the Rune Factory series will arrive on Steam along with a host of new updates and features. Publishers XSEED Games and Marvelous Inc also released a new trailer for the PC release, which you can check out below.

The PC release of Rune Factory 5 will include visual updates and new customization options. There is currently a 15% discount on Steam for players who wish to pre-purchase the game. That discount will go down to 10% off during the game’s launch week. There is also a Digital Deluxe Edition that will include 13 exclusive costumes based on characters that you could marry in Rune Factory 4. That will set players back $69.99 USD, but the same discounts will also work for this version of the game.

 

Steam owners of Rune Factory 4 can also enjoy some fun bonuses for Rune Factory 5. This includes characters like Doug and Margaret coming to live in the main town of Rigbarth as guests. There will also be a selection of other DLC outfits available to purchase at launch.

What is Rune Factory 5 about?

Rune Factory 5 is the latest in the series, so fans likely know what they are getting into. For newcomers to the franchise, Rune Factory 5 is a JRPG that primarily focuses on being a farming and life simulator. It’s a 3D adventure where players can explore dungeons and fight monsters to progress the story and figure out what is threatening their hometown of Rigbarth.

The gameplay involves plenty of farming, socializing with NPCs, and taking part in fun activities like festivals. It offers an appreciable amount of freedom, and much like Stardew Valley, it’s a game that is easy to sink hours into.

Rune Factory 5 will release on Steam on July 13.
