Just in time for the Christmas and New Year parties, one-man party-starter Russ Millions is back with a box-fresh new banger stacked with quotables and an earworm beat to stick with you well into 2023. A much more trimmed-back collaboration than the “Body” remix (although who knows what the future might hold?), this one features French The Kid and “Latest Trends” duo A1 X J1.
Produced by Jaygo, it doesn’t quite jump out of the gates the way some of Russ’ past hits did, but between the slow, murky 808s and his insistent hook, it finds energy in unexpected places. That each of the four artists turned up to the studio that day with such a considerable stack of memorable lines hasn’t hurt it either.
Whether this can match the inescapable success of “Gun Lean” or “Body” remains to be seen, but we doubt this one will sink without trace.
