Ruth Langsford appears to mock ‘feuding’ Holly and Phil after Eamonn attack

As Ruth Langsford chatted with her Loose Women co-stars, the former This Morning presenter appeared to reference Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield’s alleged off-screen “feud”.

The remark came as the panel discussed dating and whether they would trust each other to set them up on a blind date.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Ruth spoke with Coleen Nolan about “feuding”.

“I would trust all of you to pick a blind date,” Coleen began before adding: “Actually, would I?”

“You could trust me,” Ruth chipped in as she appeared to make a dig at Holly and Phil.

“Although, we could be feuding at the time, so…”

Coleen and Ruth laughed as she added: “If we’re feuding, I’ll pick a really horrible one.”

“I would trust you and I would trust family,” Coleen said as she moved the conversation on.

“Let me write this down,” Ruth quipped. “Coleen will trust me to set her up…watch this space.”

Ruth’s jibe comes after her husband and former This Morning host Eamonn Holmes launched a blistering attack on Holly and Phillip.

During his GB News show on Monday, Eamonn didn’t hold back as he shared his thoughts on the presenting duo.

Speaking to his co-host Isabel Webster, Eamonn stated: “I think there should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors.

“They may or may not be together on the telly today. The public surely will suss that there’s no chemistry, that it’s a broken fit between the two of them and that This Morning does not depend on who presents it.

“It’s an institution, it will carry on no matter who presents it and anyone can check the viewing figures.

“There’s no difference between whether they present it or anyone else.”

Since Holly and Phillip returned to screens together, This Morning fans claim to see “tension” between the pair on-screen.

While Holly has not publicly addressed the “feud” claims, Phillip has insisted his co-star is his “rock”.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
