Eva Mendes has proven herself the ultimate cheerleader for her husband Ryan Gosling’s iconic role in Barbie, so it’s no surprise that when she couldn’t attend the movie’s world premiere in Los Angeles, he made sure to still give a shoutout to his lady — with a Mattel-themed fashion moment, of course.
Ryan Gosling stepped out at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall wearing a powder pink Gucci suit, unbuttoned shirt and white brogues. He was also rocking some soft waves befitting of Malibu Ken. It’s just the latest in a line of seriously chic looks in the palette from Ryan, who’s embraced the Barbiecore trend full force.

But the detail you may miss is the crowning glory: a chain adorned with a charm of his wife’s initial in the Barbie font. Cute!

In all the brilliant Barbie clips and red carpet moments we’ve seen, Ryan looks to have taken becoming Ken in his stride, though the actor recently credited Eva and director Greta Gerwig for helping him get fully immersed in the Barbie world.
“I didn’t know Ken from within, and if I’m being really honest, I doubted my Kenergy. I didn’t see it, but Margot and Greta, they conjured this out of me somehow,” he told EW. Props to Eva.
We couldn’t be more glad to have witnessed the Ken-ifacation of Ryan on his seemingly endless press tour with Margot Robbie. And let’s face it, we’re more than ready to see the full plastic-fantastic makeovers, after being teased with the final trailer way back in May.
