Ryan Hall wants another shot at Ilia Topuria after his UFC 269 win.

Just minutes after his win over Darrick Minner at UFC 269, UFC featherweight Ryan Hall was already looking forward to what could be potentially next for him in the division.

It’s safe to say that Hall has revenge on his mind against Ilia Topuria.

Hall fell to Topuria by a vicious knockout at UFC 264, getting outclassed on the feet and stopped within minutes of the fight. It was Hall’s first knockout loss in seven years.

During his UFC 269 post-fight press conference, Hall spoke about Topuria’s skillset and why a rematch could make sense.

“After that fight, I went back and thought ‘hold on, maybe everything is wrong’,” Hall said. “So I wanted to work back to what we needed to change and what we didn’t. I would’ve like to do it without injuries, the bad luck, and all that, and I’d really like to run that back and get another crack at that in the future. I’ll be right back in camp at the beginning of the new year.”

Leading up to his loss against Topuria, Hall was on a roll in the UFC with an eight-fight winning streak. He earned dominant wins over the likes of the legendary BJ Penn, Gray Maynard, and Darren Elkins on his way up the featherweight division.

Topuria is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the UFC, with an undefeated 11-0 record. He’s currently slated to face Movsar Evloev in a high-stakes fight at UFC 270.

Depending on what happens in the Topuria vs. Evloev fight, a Hall vs. Topuria rematch could certainly be on the table. It may not happen right away as the UFC rarely makes quick rematches under these circumstances.

But, Hall has once again proved that he’s a legitimate contender at 145 pounds, and could get another shot against Topuria soon if he keeps his momentum.

UFC 269 took place on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Follow along with FanSided MMA, who is on-site, for all your news and highlights.
