Made In Chelsea star and new dad Ryan Libbey has spoken out for the first time after his fiancé Louise Thompson nearly died while giving birth to their son Leo-Hunter.

The 31-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a set of adorable photographs where the new dad could be seen caressing his baby son, while he detailing the tough and ‘testing’ months that he endured in the caption.

Alongside the sweet photos, Ryan penned a lengthy caption which read: “The last few months of my life have tested me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. This kinda stuff you don’t prepare for. Sometimes it just lands at your door and you’ve got to deal with it.

“I’ve got so much that I intend on sharing with you, maybe some of what I have to say will help someone going through a particularly bad time. I’ve learnt a lot, about myself, about life, about what really matters.”

He then continued: “I guess first and foremost on that the long list of hard lessons – hold on tight to the people you love. It can all change in a blink of an eye.

“Thank you to everyone who has contacted us, sent cards, stopped us in the street – all of your support and good wishes are gratefully received.”

Before concluding: “You’ll be seeing a lot more from the 3 of us as we rebuild and come back stronger.”

To mark their bundle of joy turning two months old, Louise also took to Instagram to commemorate the occasion, posting a sweet photo and writing a simply caption which read: “My love bug #2months.”

Louise and Ryan welcomed their first child in December, with the 31-year-old TV star spending give weeks in hospital after experiencing ‘serious complications’ from the birth.

Just two days before Christmas Day Louise announced the arrival their bundle of joy on Instagram, where she penned a caption explaining the ordeal she experienced.

“5 weeks ago I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Leo-Hunter Libbey weighing in at 7lbs,” she began, “Unfortunately it wasn’t the easiest start for either of us. One ended up in NICU and the other ended up in ICU.”

She then said: “Whilst Leo made a fairly quick recovery. I have been recovering in hospital for a month with various serious complications.”

Louise then took to Instagram the other week to thank Ryan for standing by her side and doing all that he has done of late, including “calling ambulances, waiting outside operating theatres and sleeping on hard hospital floors” after last month doctors worked “through the night” to save Louise’s life.

The Made In Chelsea beauty has also dedicated a post to the NHS, where she penned a sweet message where she said: “Honestly where would we be without the NHS? I know where I would be.”
