Ryanair’s brutal response to customer trying to dodge baggage fee

Ryanair has hit back at a customer’s cheeky way to avoid paying baggage fees.

The budget airline is known for its quips on social media, and their reply to this particular person was no different.

Journalist Bobbi Hadgraft took to Twitter to share a potential travel “hack” to get around paying for any extra luggage charges.

Ryanair permits one small bag on a flight, and other baggage costs between £6 and £59.99 extra.

This is something many travellers try to avoid, reports The Daily Star.

Bobbi tweeted a photo of a pair of black cargo trousers which were covered with tiny pockets on the front of the garment.

“Wearing these trousers next time I travel,” she said while tagging Ryanair’s official Twitter account.

It did not take long for the Irish airline to hit back with a scathing response.

The airline included a screenshot of the designer trousers from MJB (Marc Jacques Burton) that were listed for a whopping £1,280 on the website.

Ryanair jibed: “‘£1,280?’ Just pay for a bag, Bobbi.”

Although, Bobbi felt the purchase of the trousers would make a good “investment”.

She said: “Currently have 15 flights booked on the app.

“This would be an investment.”

Left in stitches at the savage exchange, many people fled to the comments to say their piece.

One person said, “It’s an investment.”

Another user added: “Cheaper than paying all of your hidden fees to be fair.”

While a third said: “Get to the airport 5 months early to get through security by the time they’ve searched your pockets and all.”

Someone else commented: “Hope I’m not behind you in security when they ask you to empty all your pockets.”

“Or buy the wish dot com version for 20 quid,” added another.
