And boss Arteta is expecting the newly-promoted Hornets to put up a stern test, despite recently changing managers.

“What I’m demanding is that we keep improving and keep putting in good performances that are going to lead to good results,” Arteta said.

“And that we maintain the same unity and togetherness around the squad and that we are able to transmit that in games like in every day in training. If we do that we’ll keep doing that.

“They have a new manager and are a team that needs wins as we do. In this league any team can cause you problems, can beat you and you have to be aware of that.

“That they had an incredible run last year to return to the Premier League and what they did. Now they changed their manager.

“But it’s a team that has been for many years in the league. They’re our neighbours, they’re just next to us, and like any team they’ll be tough to beat.”
