Samuel Frederick Smith AKA Sam Smith was born on May 19, 1992. They rose to fame in October of 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure’s breakthrough single “Latch.” The singer released their debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May of 2014. They are best known for smash singles such as “Stay With Me” and “I’m Not The Only One.” In January of 2019, they dropped their highly-acclaimed collaboration with Normani Kordei, “Dancing With A Stranger.” It currently has over 200 Million views on YouTube. The singer cites Adele and Amy Winehouse as their main influences. In May 2014, Smith came out to the public as gay and has been a well respected champion of LGBTQ rights.
