The epic historical picture Samrat Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar, continues to struggle at the box office, grossing barely ₹55 crores in its first week, according to early estimates. Chandraprakash Dwivedi wrote and directed the film, which is based on the lives and times of Rajput emperor Prithviraj Chauhan.
The epic poem Prithviraj Raso by Chand Bardai is the inspiration for the story. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the big-budget epic will no longer be able to break the ₹100 crore barrier. Samrat Prithviraj day 8 box office collection numbers are given here.
