Samsung can’t match this incredible discount on Galaxy Fold 4

Samsung has some phenomenal offers available on its latest Galaxy smartphones …but it can’t match the latest price crash on the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

AO.com has just slashed £350 off the RRP of the folding phone, dropping the price down to £1,299. That’s a pretty substantial saving – and easily one of the best Galaxy Z Fold 4 deals around right now.

For comparison, Samsung is selling the Fold 4 for £1,649 – although you can unlock a guaranteed £150 discount when you trade-in an existing phone in any condition (yes, even if it’s completely broken).

Getting double the discount without the need to part with any of your existing handsets (even if it is only a broken Nokia 3310 gathering dust at the back of your drawer) is a real coup. The catch? Unfortunately, you’ll miss out on the full selection of colours since Samsung has reserved a Burgundy option exclusively for its own online store. AO.com offers the remaining three colours (Greygreen, Phantom Black, Beige) but you’ll need to waive the £350 discount for that Burgundy shade!

AO.com offers next-day delivery, so you could be setting up and enjoying your new Galaxy Z Fold 4 this time tomorrow.

The online retailer also has a range of repayment plans for those who’d rather spread out the cost of the handset over a year or two, like a pay monthly contract with a network.

Buying a handset SIM-free means you can pair it with your existing SIM plan or any SIM-only deal from a network. These can often be much cheaper than when bundled with the cost of a new phone in a single. It’s also possible to get a monthly rolling contract, so you can cancel anytime and switch when a better deal comes along – like on Black Friday.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the latest iteration of the foldable phone from Samsung, which unfurls like a paperback novel to reveal a tablet-like experience. The folding glass screen measures a whopping 7.6-inch and can be used to run multiple apps side-by-side, play games and binge the latest boxsets on the AMOLED display.

Samsung added support for its popular S Pen stylus, so you can sign PDFs, draw digital artwork, and annotate webpages and emails.

When you don’t want to unfold the handset to use the large screen, there’s a helpful 6.2-inch Cover Screen that works like any other mobile phone – allowing you to quickly reply to texts, check directions on Google Maps, and answer calls.

There’s also a new triple camera array with a 50-megapixel main sensor for incredible detail. All of the usual photography tricks you’d expect at this price point are present and correct, so you’ll be able to take Portrait Mode-style photos and videos, lossless zoom, and 4K Ultra HD videos. Samsung has added a 10MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 supports the fastest 5G downloads, so you’ll be to stream YouTube videos, Netflix shows and Prime Video movies without any buffering. With a good signal, 5G can offer download speeds faster than the average home broadband connection.

Despite folding in half to stow away its pocket-busting 7.6-inch screen, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is rated IPX8 for water and dust resistance. That means it can withstand an accidental bath in the toilet, or a glass of beer or wine without any issue. However, it’s not recommended to treat the phone as waterproof and start filming underwater like a GoPro.

For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs £1,649 from Argos£1,649 from Currys, and £1,769 from John Lewis.
