BART riders, this one’s for you.
The growing North San Jose commercial district near the Berryessa BART station will soon have a Dunkin’ franchise.
The coffee-and-doughnut juggernaut is building out its newest location in the Market Park San Jose center. No opening date has been forecast yet.
The 2,000-square-foot store will feature Dunkin’s next-generation, energy-efficient design, which includes a tap system for consistently cold chilled beverages and cold brew, a dedicated mobile order pickup area and patio seating.
Dunkin’s re-emergence in the Bay Area — there had been a shop in San Jose decades ago — started in 2016 with a Walnut Creek store. That was followed by several locations from South San Francisco to the East Bay to Santa Cruz.
The three other shops in San Jose are located on Winchester Boulevard, Snell Avenue and Foxworthy Avenue. There is also a Sunnyvale location on El Camino Real.
