SAN JOSE — The director of a San Jose math tutoring center has been arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material, authorities said.
Deoel Credo Noveno, 30, of San Jose, was arrested April 11, the San Jose Police Department said in a statement Thursday.
In September, detectives determined Noveno was in possession of and distributing the material on social media applications as “Zanrath#6659” and “Leothe9th1,” police said.
Detectives also learned Noveno was employed as the center director of a Mathnasium in San Jose, where he tutored and had access to young children, police said.
Mathnasium, which has locations throughout the Bay Area, offers private math tutoring, according to its website.
In addition to arresting Noveno, detectives served a search warrant at his residence, police said. Police did not disclose what, if any, evidence they found at the home.
