Renato Sanches insists he is “ready” to leave Lille as Arsenal have been given the green light to sign the midfielder.
The Portugal star has revived his career in France after a disappointing spell with Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old is finally producing what was expected of him when he burst onto the scene at Euro 2016 and he is once again is again on the radar of top clubs.
It’s been reported that the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Barcelona are interested in making a January move for Sanches and he is likely to become one of the biggest sales of the winter window, according to AS, via the Express.
And it’s claimed he has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ is in place that would allow him to leave Lille in the upcoming window.
It seems Mikel Arteta’s men are leading the race for his signature as the Gunners have been given the go-ahead to secure a deal that would cost them £25million, according to Telefoot, via Teamtalk.

With Arsenal set to lose Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny to the Africa Cup of Nations, midfield is an area that needs to be addressed – especially as the duo could be missing for up to a month depending on how far Ghana or Egypt go in the competition.
And Sanches has made it clear he is ready to leave Lille if the right opportunity presents itself as he namechecked Arsenal when he was asked which clubs were interested in him.
He told L’Équipe: “Who is interested in me? Maybe Milan and Arsenal are interested, but I don’t know. I talked to my agent, I know which clubs are calling and which are not, but now I can’t tell. But I know I’m ready. If it happens, I’ll see what’s best for me.”
“Milan? It’s a great club, a historic club. It’s classy. I like it. I was supposed to go to Barcelona in the summer, then my injury blew everything up. Leave in January? I know I’m ready. If an offer comes in.”
Sanches has claimed that his move to Bayern Munich in 2016 came too early, but he now believes he’s ready to again make a major move.
He added: “When I arrived at Bayern, I was not ready to play in such a club. I was very young.

“And when I got ready, the opportunity to play with this team never came.
“Today I feel ready. I understand football better, I have more experience, I know what to do to play in this kind of club and that changes everything.”
Lille president Olivier Létang confirmed in October that if an appropriate offer is tabled, Sanches will be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 outfit.
He said: “If an offer from a big club arrives, he can leave.”
