Sarah Jessica Parker teased fans of And Just Like That… with a new comment about the hottest woodworker on the Upper East Side: Aidan Shaw (John Corbett). The return of Carrie Bradshaw’s ex-fiancé was first confirmed on the official And Just Like That… Instagram account on January 16 with a photo of Parker and Corbett happily holding hands. The caption read, “Shh. Don’t tell anyone.” SJP added fuel to the fire by commenting, “Shhhh. X, SJ.”
Without giving away too much about the couple’s relationship status, Parker remarked on Corbett’s return to the Sex and the City universe in season 2 in a new interview published February 7. “It’s so nice. It’s so happy…. He brings a lot of joy,” SJP gushed to Extra. But are Carrie and Aidan just friends? More than friends? Parker didn’t say. Instead, she teased “an amazing storyline…[that] will be really meaningful to the audience who feel a lot of affection for him.”

The debate about whether or not Carrie should have chosen Aidan over Mr. Big resurfaces every time fans get a glimpse of Aidan post-breakup. Corbett made a guest appearance in 2010’s Sex and the City 2, giving viewers hope that the two could reconcile. But ultimately, the timing was off, and they remained each other’s “one that got away.” Until now?
