Saurabh Kumar set to replace unfit Ravindra Jadeja for Test series in Bangladesh | Cricket News – Times of India

MUMBAI: All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who is undergoing rehab after suffering a knee injury during the Asia Cup in September, is set to be ruled out of the Test series in Bangladesh as well, with left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar likely to replace him in the squad, TOI has learnt.
The UP bowler is currently with the India A side in Bangladesh, and was a part of the squad in the home Tests against Sri Lanka earlier this year. A formal announcement will be made in this regard by the BCCI soon.
Left-arm spinning allrounder Shahbaz Ahmed had replaced Jadeja for the ODIs.
In 52 First-Class games for Services and UP, the 29-yearold Saurabh Kumar has taken 222 wickets @24.57. The Tests will be held from December 14-18 at Chattogram, and December 22-26 at Mirpur.
