Saweetie’s Candy Swirl Manicure Looks Like It Came Straight From the Willy Wonka Factory

Saweetie switches manicures as often as some of us change clothes. The Bay Area-bred rapper is almost always sporting some kind of cool (and extra blingy) nail art, typically on ultra-long talons. In early July, she celebrated her 29th birthday with a beauty look that included thigh-length icy blonde waves and bedazzled baby stiletto nails longer than her own fingers. Yes, she was still getting ish done with them: A few days later, she threw the first pitch at a Dodgers game with the same mani.

So she should have no trouble managing her latest super-long set, though we might suggest not looking at it too closely for too long. On July 14, Saweetie showed off what could be could be her trippiest manicure yet.

It’s a little ’70s, yes? Light blue, baby pink, and tangerine are just a few of the hues swirled together for “Best Friend” singer’s multicolored mani, which she shared to Instagram. Nail artist Temeka Jackson also added shades of lavender, fuchsia, lime, and dark teal to each coffin-shaped tip. The design covers about three-quarters of each nail, to the point where it’s almost more of a half-moon mani than a French tip situation. This wouldn’t be an Icy Girl manicure without a little bling, so Jackson adhered two iridescent gems on the nude portion of each nail.
