SCCI concludes promotional gulf tour for Sharjah Excellence Award

SHARJAH, 7th July, 2022 (WAM) — The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has successfully concluded its promotional tour of the GCC nations for the Sharjah Excellence Award 2022, after coordinating efforts and developing a comprehensive framework for stimulating private sector institutions from various economic sectors, to nominate for the award’s two categories, namely “Sharjah Gulf Localisation Award” and “Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award.”

The Sharjah Excellence Award was widely welcomed by officials in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, where senior officials lauded its resounding success and efforts to step up the competitive spirit among participants while also contributing to improving institutional performance to achieve total quality management. The tour’s last stop was in Oman.

Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award, stressed that the SCCI pays utmost attention to creating a competitive environment for GCC institutions and is making every effort to take the Gulf economies to the next level of growth.

“In addition to encouraging the adoption of corporate governance, and commitment to the highest quality standards, the chamber seeks, through the award, to exchange knowledge, best experiences and practices and establish quality standards among the Gulf business community,” Al Hajri said.

The tour has been a success, she stated, having garnered an impressive response from stakeholders in the Gulf region, which will contribute to improving the performance of Gulf private sector institutions, promoting excellence, and cultivating business growth.
