Scotland captain Andy Robertson will miss the remainder of the Nations League campaign after suffering a knee injury.
The left-back will miss Liverpool’s Champions League meeting with Ajax on Tuesday and the double header with Ukraine either side of a clash with the Republic of Ireland with the Tartan Army.
Steve Clarke is due to name his squad for the international triple header at Hampden on Tuesday.
Robertson’s club manager, Jurgen Klopp, said the player would not be back in training before the break at the end of the month.
The Tartan Army go into the matches with their Group B promotion hopes hanging by a thread following a 3-0 humbling at the hands of the Irish in Dublin in June.
Clarke’s men face Ukraine at Hampden on September 21 before the away meeting in Krakow six days later.
Ireland arrive in Glasgow in between on September 24 in the last international pause before the World Cup.
